Workspace managers can determine what appears in the side menu on their workspace.
This is the area on the left side of the workspace, which members can use to navigate a workspace.
The default view is all the folders and items uploaded to the workspace. Members will only be able to see the folders and items they have permission to view.
To adjust your side menu when you have the default setting on:
- Go to the 'Actions' menu at the bottom of the page and select 'Reorder the folder contents'
- Then you can manually sort your items in the side menu and set them to sort alphabetically if you wish.
If you want to customise your side menu settings, please follow the steps below:
- Go to Manage workspace (three cogs icon) in the top right and select Settings from the drop down.
- Select the Navigation tab.
You will see three options:
- Workspace contents: The default view provided. New folder and items are automatically added to the side menu.
- Custom: Allows you to customise your side menu. You can select which workspace folders and items appear there. You can also add external web-links. You can drag and drop the items into the order you want them to appear.
- Always Hide: Hides the side menu on your workspace.
Please note if using a custom side menu, new folders and items added to the workspace will not automatically appear in your side menu. You will need to update the custom side-menu manually.
