Our workspace template comes with a forum already built but if you need to create a new one:
- Navigate to the folder where you want to add your forum or the workspace homepage and click 'New item' from the Actions menu.
- Select Forum from the list.
- Give your forum a name and an optional description.
- Check your permission settings - These are more complex than permissions on some other workspace items. See our guide on these here: Forum permissions.
- Click Save.
As a manager you have the ability to 'pin' discussions to the top of your forum. This can be used on important discussion posts that a user will always see when they first enter the forum, for example a post outlining the forum's rules. To 'pin' a discussion, select 'Pin this discussion to the top of the list' (pin icon) on the relevant post in the forum.
