Each workspace on Futures has it's own email address and shared inbox for workspace managers.
Your workspace manager email address
To locate your workspace manager email address:
- Go to your Manage workspace (three cog icon) menu and select All Manager Functions
- Under the Information heading, click Workspace Summary
- You will see the email address for your workspace under Workspace Manager Email Address.
Note that you can construct your workspace manager email address by taking the unique part of the workspace URL and adding -manager@future.nhs.uk - For example: https://future.nhs.uk/yourworkspace becomes yourworkspace-manager@future.nhs.uk
Managing your workspace manager inbox
To view incoming messages to your workspace:
- Go to your Manage workspace (three cog icon) menu and select Private Messages
- You can choose to show an inbox view, sent messages or a discussion format and filter by unread if needed. To send a message as the workspace manager, click on New Private Message.
Workspace email settings
There 2 other options to help you manage incoming messages to your workspace. You can choose to divert your incoming messages to a specified email address or you can choose to switch off incoming messages to workspace managers. To change this setting:
- Go to your Manage workspace (three cog icon) menu and select Settings
- Navigate to the Contact from people about this workspace heading where you will see the three available options.
Disabling the ability to be contacted can be disruptive for users and as such we do not recommend applying this setting. If you are planning on using this setting then please get in touch with our support team to discuss alternative options.
Using the specified email address can be a useful way to manage incoming questions and requests, for example by diverting to a shared mailbox for your team.
