The case study tool is designed to make it quick and easy for Futures members to share learning and best practice within their workspace and, if they want, with the wider Futures community.
To help you use the case study tool, we have developed these top tips. Don’t forget there is also a case study tool guide to support you to set up your own case study library.
- To help members select your case study, use a clear, descriptive title and a high-quality image that is relevant to the case study or the organisation / project.
- Consider forming a small editorial group to review and upload case studies on behalf of your workspace as this will help ensure consistency. If you’re uploading case studies on behalf of others, you can distribute the case study template so others can easily gather the information.
- Futureproof your existing PDF case studies by transferring them into the tool so you can simply update the parts you need to. The template is fully customisable and allows you to add and delete as many sections as you require. Add in highlights to emphasise key information.
- The tool doesn’t autosave, so always remember to save as you go.
- Help your members find relevant case studies by tagging them. Once you have tagged your case study, you could create a tag cloud on your homepage workspace, to show what workspace members are talking about and to help you find the right key words to use as tags.
- In addition to the health and care categories provided, the case study tool also allows you to create your own workspace specific category. Simply go to the admin tab when creating or editing the case study.
- Like tags, categorising the case study helps members discover the learning. In addition to the health and care categories provided, the case study tool also allows you to create your own workspace specific category. Simply go to the admin tab when creating or editing the case study.
- Keep all the additional information that is relevant to your case study in one place. You can add in recordings, diagrams and links to other resources, like PDFs, in the resources tab.
- Explore the many case studies held within the Futures case study hub, open to all members from across the health and social care sector.
