In this article we will provide detail on workspace membership status and what the different statuses represent. You can view the status of your members either on the Manage Members page of your workspace or via a membership report.
Membership status explained:
Member - This means that the person is a member of your workspace.
Invited - When the membership status is 'Invited', this means that the person has been invited to join the workspace but has not accepted the invitation. Invitations to join a workspace will expire after 28 days.
Ex-Member - This refers to people who have left the workspace, this can include those whose invitations have expired. Invitations expire after 28 days. After a further 14 days the user is removed from your workspace at which point they will be recorded in your reports and audit log as an ex-member.
Requested - This refers to people who have requested to join the workspace, in order to have access, they will need to be invited by a workspace manager (You won't see this for open workspaces).
Bouncing - When you see the word 'Bouncing' next to the membership status this means that the user's email address is not accepting mail from Futures, this can be for a number of reasons such as a deactivated email account.
To view the manage members page:
- Go to 'Manage workspace' (three cogs icon) in the top right and select 'Members & Teams' from the drop down.
- Where it says 'Show Members', select the filter you want to use - The default option of 'Show Members' will not show invited, requested or ex-members.
