Reporting on Futures can offer you deeper insights into the members on your workspace, who they are and where they are based, and what content they are engaging with. Knowing more can help you make the right decision for your workspace and your members.
For an in-depth walkthrough of using the reports, please watch our community huddle on Reporting:
To access reporting:
- Open the 'Manage Workspace' menu (three cogs icon).
- Select 'Reports'.
In the main report area, you have two options:
- All Reports.
- My Reports.
In all Reports you can find the Futures recommended pinned reports so you can run them quickly or easily copy the report to your My Reports giving you the ability to edit them.
Reports from other workspace managers are also visible, you will be able to run and copy these too.
Depending on the settings you select, reports can either be run only by you or be accessible by the managers of your workspace. For more information on creating and editing reports see Understanding the report menus.
To filter out all other reports and see only your own, select 'My Reports'.
In the List view you have:
- Name of the report.
- Scope - If it is editable by just you or you and the other workspace managers.
- Data - Which fields of data the report is puling from.
- Type - Which output the report will be Tabular or chart.
- Modified - Who last modified the report.
- Last Run - When the report was last run.
To run the report, select 'Run' (the play icon).
To copy the report to your My Reports which will allow you to edit the report, select 'Copy' (the two sheets icon).
To open the report title information page, select the report title. You will have the option to run and copy the report in the report information page.
When copying a report to your My Reports or when creating a new report, you will have the option to delete the report and pin the report.
You do not need to pin your report to the All Reports list if your report scope is set to Active Workspace, as you can easily access your own reports in My Reports.
If the report scope is set to ‘the current workspace' you can pin this report as this will only show at the top of the list of reports seen by yourself and the other workspace managers of your workspace.
